Description
3rd time is the charm I hope. This was one of my first and more ambitious GB projects and it has been a bear. After getting near-field speakers I have tweaked the levels and re-did the vocals and keyboard. I think the main difference between the old and new version was my spirit ..... much less concerned about technique and just singing to the Lord. Hang in there with this song - the fun starts about half-way in. All instruments and vocals are mine - music by me and lyrics by my buddy Robert Block. Like always, my songs go better with my video which you can see on my youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/bsoland1. Thanks again for listening and your comments!

Vocal/sax duet...
First half is really a quite tender & gorgeous piece of music. Love your tenor playing and its interplay and dueting with your singing. Cool how it then morphs into a celebratory gospel blues tune and then returns to the mellow first theme. Well thought out and performed. Cheers to you both!

God is God
Lovely mellow opening. The sax reminded me of Van Morrison's Inarticulate Speech of the Heart CD. The transition heads us east to the top of the Gulf and is nicely done. Some fine light and shade. Well done, Brad. Regards, Peter.

Beautifully understated
Great, clear mix, and a terrific N'Orleans burst of energy after the 2.30 mark. This will zoom up the "chart."

Live performance...
Sounds so authentic and "right there." I don't know exactly how you recorded this, but the presence in a real room is quite clear and remarkable for a studio song. All it needs is a little ambient audience to accompany the gentle music. That sax is beautifully played, too. Such a sincere and honest song as well as recording. Glad it's not cluttered with over production issues.

I really enjoyed the guitar/sax backing of your gentle vocal. You produced a unique and organic sound that really suited the vocal approach. Your guitar playing is always a joy.

Amazing!
You say that the fun starts half-way in, but the subtlety, sincerity and depth in your performance in the first part is extraordinary. So heartfelt in addition to your excellent saxophone and guitar playing. You'd have to be a stone to not feel anything here!

God is God
There is a lovely round warm feel to the general sound - so natural. We don't hear enough music like this any more. Must mention the performance as well which is engaging and touching.
