Description
Drink the Koolaide whilst you can. Barry and John want blood. May God have.....etc..

Dark days, dark days indeed. This mix (by the way) is darker than my last one whilst being ominously 'bubbly'.

I hear you
Dark it is as we walk in to darker days, the fall is coming and this fits well to that, be well in the darkness.

Hi Kenta....
The light is there, we just have to search a little harder through the bullshit that today stands for politics.

The political integrity follows the money and so is prostituting itself and government is the painted ladies face, makeup all smudged and ineffective, with a whiff of the cheapest perfume.

Take care.

Love the long timing on the synths and the dark space atmosphere!

Hi edpdx....
Timing is the basis for my MIDI-oriented tracks. If the presets move in the way of the mix, sometimes it comes together, other times it's not successful. Relentless is the journey's name.

Take care.

Hi SoN....
I started out doing something lighter but once this was mixed I left it well alone. Sometimes you gotta hit the darker side of the light. Tomorrow there may be something different. I think that this sets the mood of the moment, G20-wise.

Take care.

The dark side of your music is always appealing. Sounds like October. Another for my ambient collection. Thank you!

Hi Ex.....
I like the ring of that...October is where the world is at, at the moment, the Fall and all that it brings, storms, falling leaves, winds, rain, darkness, even uncertainty.

What a world we live in, eh?

Take care.

Less Light, More Space
Squeeze those lower mids, until they whimper.
Thanks for sharing your work with us.

Hi Daugrin.....
I enjoy sharing. It's what I am, and I couldn't pass the centre stage side show where the molehill that thinks it's a mountain comes to Mohammed.

There. I've said it.

Take care.

Into the unknown
I get the sense that even though this has its dark aspects, some of the darkness comes from a departure into the unknown which carries its own sense of anxious exploration mixed with wonder.

Very cool track Paul. Nice to hear the work. And thanks for the download!

Hi Doug....
Yeah. There's all sorts of things mixed into this one. A real witches brew of soundscape material, with some hummus mixed with extra virgin olive oil. A treat any day, from what I know.

Take care.

Dark and cool
And very enjoyable. Perfect length. My mind goes to a Tangerine Dream piece that I forget the name of, only a bit darker and a little more - bubbly :-)

Thanks and take care,
Henke

Hi Henke........
I never did really listen to TD until I came to Macjams. I had the Phaedra LP but only listened to it a couple of times. Apart from that I must pick up influence via the airwaves. I'm more of a Kraftwek fan, truth be told. I have many of their albums but don't listen to them much these days. More Beethoven et al..

Take care.

Dreamy
as in Tangerine. The bubbles do sound ominous, like they're up to something while the main synth washes away in front of them.

Hi G....
Ominous is good. That's the intent of the piece. Shady dealings and behind the scens maneouvering. Negative truths and other tools of the political-conglomerate business interests.

Take care.

Swirls...
...and swirls...and swirls: this is a totally new sound from you, Paul. It is quite nice and give off such a twisting effect every inch of the way. The entrance of the low bass around 1:00 is so rich and broad. Very nice, indeed. I don't know what Koolaide has to do with any of this, but perhaps it is part of the mythology of the future as that future looks back on what has been.

Hi Paul....
Koolaide is the drink the Obomber supporters are supposed to drink, as a sort of Glee-club for the corporate puppets of politics. The fascist diktat of life as it is in the land of the brave.

Take care.

Hi Harald.....
Thanks fore those kind thoughts. I think that hope is the only reason I fool myself into thinking that I see light, somewhere along the road I travel along with humankind.

Take care.

The Koolaide Mix
It sounds to me like what the Tardis might sound like when the Doctor and sundry companions are off galavanting and not aboard :-) Thanks, Paul. Take care, Peter.
