Description
This is a piece of music I made for a music contest. The winner's music would be used as the "background" music in a car park chain.

I didn't win but I had some fun working on this :-)

I would like to thank Kevin(bud) and Dick(DWL) for their precious feedback, they both adviced to remove a drums section which was on the music previously and I also think the removal made the music much closer to its purpose.

Many thanks.

La Rosée
Now there's a new genre - background music for carparks! I love the beautiful flow of this and its rich tones. The flute that takes over towards the end is very pretty, too. Fine work, Yves!

La Rosée
Lovely piece Yves. The main theme is simple and effective. The arrangement fills out nicely without ever distracting from the main melodies. The sounds you used fit together beautifully.

Lovely, lovely work...
...this has a marvelously pastoral feel to it and in style and tone reminds me of Debussy in many ways. The middle section of this is my favorite and identifies with your artwork very well Yves. A beautiful reflection and thanks for your excellent work on it and thanks to Bud and Dick for their support. Hope you are doing well and praying that things are looking brighter for you and your family. It's been such a long time since I've written, but boy, WHAT a busy year this has been for me, moving to Alabama and then trying to make home seem like "home" again. I'm happy to have been here to listen to this Yves. You take good care now! Michael

This is far, far too good to be used as "background" music!

La Rosée
Very nice work, Yves. It does have a very peaceful, pastoral feel. It has far more substance and depth than "ad" music. I, too, really enjoyed the middle section. Congratulations! You definitely win the MJ car park music contest :-) Take care, Peter.

So calm and peaceful...
The string chorale is very lovely in and of itself, but the pulsing bass is something quite unusual and very effective. At around 2:15 when you proceed to an almost ostinato-like rhythm and open up the orchestration the whole landscape becomes a thing of expansive beauty. My opinion: this should be played in every car park. Such a calming and serene track. Very very beautiful.

La Rosee
A lovely listen Yves. Starts quite classical & stately then gets more playful and dynamic - I like the panned & repeated bell rhythmic motif half-way through, that's subtly introduced earlier. And then it all smooths out returning to the calm and tranquil mood. Sorry you didn't win the contest, but as others have said, this is too pastoral and too good for a car-park!

Beauty
Yves this is so nice. Your music becomes more refined and assured with every song. This is delicate and tasteful with just the right amount of restrain, yet the melodies and themes keep the song moving forward, albeit in a most relaxing way. An obnoxiously angled park job would nary an eyebrow raise if this tune was present keeping the area all dreamy and blissful.
