Tell Me About It [Vocals] New Arrangement

Description
This is a song I wrote in 2004, to celebrate my daughter's twenty-fifth birthday [I turned 50 that year and we became twice, and half, each other's age].

The idea for this new string arrangement came to me the other day. You'll have to excuse all the noise and general quality of the vocals. I just didn't want to re-record sixteen tracks of vox right now. Maybe someday...

Anyway, this is the best I could do right now.

Thanks for listening,
Alimar

very warm strings that weren't cringworthy! this sounded like an authentic 60s recording to me.

digging that Jim Croce moustache. ;)

Tell Me About It
Great to hear some vocals from you, Al. The strings work in very well with the warmth and emotion of the vocals. Some fine harmonies and backing work. Nice song. Thanks, Peter.

I figured…
…I needed to change it up a bit. Too many orchestral pieces tend to get tiresome. Glad you think the strings work here. Thanks for listening and commenting.

Go, Daddy-o!
If this is something with less than your best effort, including the "general quality of the vocals," then clearly I need to check-out more Alimar music. Just magnificent, Dad!

My own worst enemy
I tend to be overly critical. The vocals need a good de-essing. I think I over compressed them, too. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment. Thanks!

sixteen vocal tracks!
Impressive vocals! Pitch, confidence, everything. Such a nice, friendly song with cool songwriting and production skills. This song would work with completely different instrumentation too, since your vocals are very strong here.

Heartfelt tribute. Really well done.

Very original
I think to combine the orchestral instrumentation with a completely different style of melody for the wonderful vocals…I really enjoyed this Al….you must do some more vocals…..good song; enjoyed, regards M
