Interstellar Dreams (An Imaginative Ambient Mix)

This mix has a bit of a melody. A departure from my norm of thick washes of sound interspersed with rhythmic silences. Maybe this is the way to go forward.

Time will tell.

I think around seven minutes but I may be wrong.

Perhaps, but a stellar mix. I liked this one a lot. Light and "airy" in parts but with the harsher bass tones to indicate a more desolate region.

Looking forward to hear the rest of the melody in a future mix ;-)

Thanks and take care,

P.S. Tempting to put this in the SR challenge, but, well, well, I know you don't want to do it this time...

Hi Henke......
I'd forgotten about the longer version so will dig the original out and see if I've already done something else with it. I forget things these days more than usual.

Take care.

of a melody sneaking out from the swirl. Really nice. I don't know your reasons for not wanting to, but I agree with Henrik, this would have been a great entry, yes.

Hi Dave.....
I don't do these SRC's. It's a short story.......

The presets I've been using and a free effects processor (Wolfram) add their magic to make the piece more 'emergent?'

Take care.

Low slow bells and flutes
So oral washes indeed Paul. This is lovely. I think it reminds me of a new form of Zen influenced music: the low slowly resonating bells with flute figures dancing above - all in an incredibly huge space that you are so adept at creating. This is simple but not simplistic. In fact every nuance has the space to be heard on its own and in the context of the whole. There is enough of your evolving wash style here to not disappoint us and you have enough of a new turn to let us bask in the creative variation you've decided to embrace.

I will download it when I get back from holidays.

Cheers Paul,

Hi Doug.....
Something else may crop up, to follow on with this musical line of thought but I don't know.

Zen-influenced music is close to my heart and my mind, so that makes me feel as though the job has been done on this mix.

I came up with a Zen signature: There nothing to be gained from a Zen attitude.

Take care.
