I was experimenting with some Moog samples and it started sounding Deadish, so I went for the jam sound on this one. Kept it under 30 minutes thought, unlike the Dead :)

iPad in action
Ha-ha .. you had me worried there for a second by saying this is a "free" jam piece .. I started thinking maybe some people were starting to charge money for their jams : )

I like the way the music moves around .. freely.

That this can be done on an iPad is pretty amazing. Does it require a keyboard? Or can all of the variety of these sounds be produced by tapping on the screen?

Thanks for listening. Completely free of charge jams! The iPad has very good virtual keys - the multi-touch is extremely good for virtual keyboarding and sliding vertically or horizontally can usually be mapped to modulations - so in many ways (aside from tactile feedback) the surface can surpass keyboards. This piece, however, had a good deal of MIDI sequencing and generative algorithms applied to it (Google Noatikl if you're into that sort of thing!).
