I think...
...I enjoy these wonderful locomotive pieces from you even more now that I live in a location where I hear the train go by every night--and I think of you every time Harald. This gets off to an exciting start; that build up is quite disarming! I don't believe there was ever a train ride that sounded as sweeping and exultant as this one. I'm giving you full marks on this because I believe it's one of your best works in this thematic you do so well. Outstanding!

Early Morning Train
Your railway music really appeals to me, since I have a keen interest in that area. I just love this piece and as Vic Holman says this too is my favourite of the train series as well.

A very grand train
Unlike the things that used to go through Stafford station in the UK many years ago (smelly diesels, characterless electrics). This music evokes something enormous and ornate. The first train to Mars, for instance.

The big one...
...is on the tracks again, but this time with sort of a sensitive side at the start...only to barrel ahead with electric metal scraping through the miles of track. This is, again, an expansive journey in and through sound, attaining a fever and intensity that much of your music possesses. There is so much going on at each level of the recording spectrum and you seem to effortless place all these pieces precisely where they will have the most effect...Oh, the trail off into a dream-scape around 3:00 is terrific and comes at just the exactly correct moment...and then you finally come to rest at the next station. Just perfect, Harold. A remarkable feat to capture the imagination of such a ride in 7 minutes.
