Description
It's been over a year since my last post at MJ... I had hoped I would come back and submit a song for a better occasion but... not much to say really. I wanted to do something to honor the memory of one of the finest and most inspiring guitarists that I had the pleasure of knowing, and I couldn't find a better song of his to cover than his own favorite, "Song for Big John." Special thanks to Libby, Fran's daughter, for giving me the permission to post it.

This was all done in a couple of takes and improvised, so please excuse the roughness. However, it was done on purpose because that's what Ziti was all about; feeling... no edits, no nothing. Just pure playing, straight out of the heart.

I hope you enjoy it and think of the incredible man he was.

I also hope that someone can remix and master this for me because I absolutely hate how it sounds... it's only a rhythm track and a solo track, any takers, please?! :(

Hi Yeman
I'm happy to have a go at it, although I'm not sure there's a lot I can do. It sounds very nicely done, and I'm sure Fran would have loved hearing you play this.
Message me your email and I'll set up a DropBox for you to send aifs to.
Cheers,
Neil

Song for Big [Fran] (Tribute to Ziti)
This is beautiful. Fran would have loved it. There's nothing rough about it. There's no need to remix or master it at all. You did a wonderful job. Brought a tear to my eye.

Leave it alone
I love the way it sounds as is. It is up close, intimate, with a touch of sadness, which I really like. Great work, Yeman.

Beauty as is...
Sometimes the rough take is the best one. Fran would most likely agree...

Beautifully done
I agree with the others that this is nearly perfect. Played with heart, passion and soul. All are things that Fran captured with his playing.

Nothing I can do hear but quote my friend, Fran...

Deepest bows.

Beautifully played. I don't know that you could improve upon it. It has heart and soul, and that's better than any production value :)
