(I Can't Stay) Away From You

Description
Another from The Jewels (the first being "My Baby Baby", though this was recorded and released elsewhere first), this time turning Elaine into Ronnie Spector with Cindy, Diane and myself singing backup and me providing MIDI accompaniment. I originally wrote this as a Roy Orbison pastiche but upon reflection, the lyrics I was writing sounded better if they were sung by an ostensibly teenaged girl, so The Jewels were formed.

Wow
I like it! I like alot! My folks always played this style. Growing up hearing this genre I do appreciate this! and there's a lot of work goes into this style i thinks gets overlooked.

Nice vocals and a well put together production!
thanks for the download,
Brian

Away from You
The vocals capture the feel of the 60s, as does the melody and the arrangement. I'm not so keen on whatever it is that's sort of buzzing in the backing - I prefer a cleaner sound - but I enjoyed the performance!

That "buzzing"
There's actually a filter on there to simulate the degraded audio of playing a 45 rpm single on a '60s-style cheap record player. :D
