Description
This mix has both Curve 2 instances and Zebra 2 instances. The main/rhythmic sounds are Curve 2 and the background, Ambient sparklies are Zebra 2. The piece started out as a 'Robotic Lament' but really is more of a 'Robotic Growing Up Mix'. The mix develops, soundscape-wise, as the (just under eight) minutes progress.

If I Cared
It takes such skill and patience to grow something like this...slowly and deliberately, subtle dynamic changes, your forte of course.

Hi Chris.....
I do work to make my pieces develop somewhat. I am very happy that you have noticed. It makes all the work I put into each piece worth the effort if someone notices and comments.

Some of the development is me playing around with a sound and some is by using SLFO's that change one or more of a sounds dynamics in some subtle way, over time. I prefer this as sometimes the effect can sound really neat.

The synth plugins themselves brought this style of music out of the mix. I just go with the flow.

Take care.

Subtle but effective!
I'm not sure I'd have the patience or skill to do something like this.

Cheers

Dick

Hi Dick......
What I do on some of the longer pieces is mix things about until I have something that maybe I want to share and I then sit through the whole unfinished mix whilst reading a book or something where, if my music had something that needed attention to it, I would have to get back to the mixing desk. If I can listen to the mix without flinching I then move on to final mixing and will listen again, reading a book, to see/hear if there's still anything that literally disturbs me. If there isn't anything the track is finished.

So I think my main patience is the book reading part. I don't know.

Take care.
