Description
Another Hounds jam turned into a song ... we recorded it live on the floor and I added vocals some keys and blues harp. It was a mixing experiment for me as I had a lot of bleed in the overhead drum mics from us add libbing and free forming vocals. I managed to play with a gate on the tracks and my vocals covered most of it.
Groove Hounds are ...
Stan Gadziola - Guitar, keys, blues harp, vocals, mix
Donnie MacNeil - Drums.vocals beer
Rob George - Bass, gearhead

Left alone
The gate worked. Your vocal is left alone in the final. Can't judge how much of the backing is from the original set and how much is overdubbed. The song has a great feel. Now that there's a lyric, maybe the hounds can add it to the repertoire.

Dig it. Dig it. I love these "live" tracks. You have done a good job mixing the live elements with the added tracks. Mix is wide and full. What are you using for your DAW?

Thanks Chris
I'm learning more and more from trial and error especially with 3 guys playing live it's always a new experience when I go to mix. I use Garage Band and I have some plug-ins to help me out.
Thanks for your feedback.

Cool track..
Big problem bleeding tracks, into drums with no booth..
It depends on the Mic's over heads are just to crazy..
Omni Directional mic's work really good for over heads
good ones cost an arm and a leg...though...
Never the less..
Well done from of the floor, Good song...

Laid back
Good sounding live effort. Vox are a bit harsh in the mix, but the overall performance is solid with a nice feel. Dig the harmonica and keys in the background. Artwork is very cool and matches the song.

Nice track. This tune has a cool chord progression - one of those that's instantly familiar but can always be done in a new and fresh way. Nice soloing - you guys sound pretty tight - enjoyed Stan!

On the floor and on the mark! Great groove. Liking the soloing a lot, too, Stan. The harp adds a lot. It will be worth paying a lot to hear you live just to see you sing and suck at the same time :-) Thanks 'hounds. Regards, Peter.
