What would the ultimate synth-based driving song sound like? Perhaps this comes close. It's based off a ballsy synth riff I had lying around, so I expanded the idea into a complete tune. I even recorded the sound of my car to help sell the idea; tweaked the engine sounds to give it some more bite. Why racing in Japan? Dunno, but I drive a somewhat performance oriented Japanese vehicle so it seemed appropriate. Plus, what an exotic location for the theme of the song?

Anyway, it's all original soft synths and drum programming. Most of the lead synth tones have some distortion and on-the-fly performance tweaks to help get that fast and ferocious feel. This was a fun song to put together. May this bring your unassuming daily commute some added zest!

Thanks for listening.

This is bad ass! Love the groove, bass line and attitude. Breakdown at about 1.32 was cool, heavy and driving. Synth tones are nice! Mix is wide and full, good job!

Nice!
Kind of been the theme for some of us lately. Really digging that synth, has a engine sound to it. I can feel listening to this while haul'n down the road. Really cool break too.

Fantastic synth work and it motors real well ... love the break. This would be even better with a real drummer but I really dig those beats that drive this tune. ... very well produced.

It certainly has an urgent, insistent, beat. Perhaps more suited to a computer game driving sim rather than real, open the windows and let fly road trip rock but the mix and mood is great. Thanks, Peter.

My daily commute is just like this
For reasons that I cannot fathom, other drivers in Freeport, Bahamas, are in what amounts to a race to get to work in the morning. I, on the other hand, amble to work and hurry from it. I must put this on next time I come home. This is great fun driving tune that keeps up the pace to the end.

Good retro synth
This is a little like some of the backing stuff Jeff Beck has done, in my opinion anyway. Then he would jam over it. Good. I love those synths! Good solid bass live over the middle section and nice mix. Inspiring.
classic man.
