Lyrics
Wait for the night to fall
Then we will scale the wall
Wait for the fog to clear
Then we get out of here

I will meet you
Can they see us?
Can they hear us?

Night
Cool concept, interesting arrangement and instrumentation, nice drum groove by David Mc. This one has all kinds of interesting tones going on, really found myself mesmerized in a couple of spots. I love prog and this fits. Dig it fellas.

Thanks, Chris
It was fascinating and satisfying to hear this grow from a drum machine beat and an acoustic strum to what it is now.

Big sound, lots of variety. The drums do a lot of the driving. Go Sock Puppets!

Yep.
At each iteration, the drums got more and more propulsive. It's an organic song, that's what it is. (ie twice the price and of dubious origin.) I would really like to be King Crimson when I grow up, and David is indulging me. Yay! Thank you for your comment, Philip.

Bass fun
I've been learning how to play fretless bass over the last few years, and it's a wonderful thing. Having David to swap ideas with is also wonderful. And as for having a real, proper, human drummer ... priceless.

sock-it-to...
Very inviting sound. Love the guitar lead in to those cool vocals. I really like the changes of pace. Nice guitar work throughout.
Kudos...

Terrifying
is the Devil's Triangle, but you have to be sparing with it. It symbolises evil pursuers in this case. The Tubular Bells bit is scurrying away. So they make it, according to the musical narrative. Phew!

That's what I like to hear
Thanks, Mr B. I like "Outstanding drums". David is a great drummer, and is busy mastering Logic, and his masters of recent recordings get better and better. (They're already better than anything I can do.) Expect great things of Sock Puppet, MacJammers. We've only begun to begin!

Night
Island prog par excellence, Graham. There is a unique vibe running through this that stirs the senses. Many a tangent is broached but it holds together well. What has the sock puppet been taking? :-) A massive undertaking. Thanks, Peter.

Lots going on here
and it's all sounding very good. Interesting progressions and melodies.

Nice choice of instruments with so many different textures and moods. A bit of prog rock never hurt anyone eh?

Splendid!

Cheers

No keyboards
I usually dress tunes up with a synth wash, or cover the robot drumming with something, but I don't need to do that anymore. With a solid beat going on behind, I can concentrate on the bass lines and guitar work. What fun! Glad you liked it, Dick.

Catchy
The beginning had me hooked. Nice drop into the acoustics. Kind of a Vertical Horizon touch on the acoustic arrangement, which is good in my opinion. I like the hard break. Vocals sound great, lots of ear candy makes for a capturing enjoyable listen.

My mix
- where I always mix up the lead guitars! David's will be more balanced, I'm sure. It was terrific fun developing this. I like that the music tells the story with minimal words. Always a pleasure, Mr The Hounds.

Strings Attached I See
Ah, you have strings attached and don't actually put yer hands into the puppet. That sounds much more hygienic than the MJ sock monkey drivers . Well done! Carry on. Transparency is good...

I could have put "Rock" as the category, but there are too many changes, and I think that's what separates 'Prog" from "Rock." I love Pineapple Thief, and a lot of what Bruce and his buddies do could be construed as rock, but then they do something that's eleven minutes long that is undoubtably prog, according to my definition. Anyroad, David is indeed very good, and I'm happy that this true collaboration is enjoying some success here.

Thank you, Anthony
We have a rapport. I didn't have to give David any hints about any of our collabs, he just went straight to where it needed to go. This is more of a two - way collab, and is I think our best thing so far. Your stuff continues to amaze. Don't forget to alert everyone when the CD/album is ready.

Night time is the
Ha! Excellent. Hypnotic vocals, with a flowing musical construction. Great Frippish sustain on the guitar past 4:00, with a Belew-style pattern on the other guitar. Lots of KC influence here with a little Queensryche. I like all your stuff, but I think your proggy efforts are my favorites. You have your own way of doing this kind of thing, more fluid, less harsh than one might expect. Good work, gents. Let's have an encore.
