Description
thank you DJ WERD for your kind attention to this song and generosity of spirit.

this song was inspired by a recent trip to india and taking refuge in bodhgaya. naturally, the image is not of bodhgaya, but of varanasi where i lost my mind in the first place.

bass
a bit deep, but then it feels right for the style. esp liked the 0:53 section. had that mesmerizing effect. cool use of fluctuating soft/loud sections.

hi Sam
thanks for giving this song your time and for the feedback. there were quite a few pleasant surprises for me listening to DJ Werd's remix. guess that's the cool thing about a collab; letting go of expectations and just allowing. peace,

steve

Definitely develops an hypnotic mood. The ending calmed me right down. Music therapy. Thanks, Peter.

hello Peter
appreciate you stopping by and supporting this thing. DJW did some really interesting things to the rhythm of this piece to add those trance elements. I'm happy to hear it had a calming effect. cheers,

Excellent
I really like the vocal arrangement, especially the "she is waiting", it made me long for the next crescendo. That's where I wished the vocals were up just a tad in the mix. Bass was spot on and digging the beat and synth. Ear candy through out, cool and catchy. Nice ending.

thank you FEEL
i appreciate the feedback on the arrangement and mix; two areas where i'm happy to get advice. most of the bass and synth sounds can be attributed to DJW; which gave the song a huge lift. i'm pleased you enjoyed this. thanks again,

steve

The opening groove really flows, with thoughtful dynamics and interesting sounds coming and going. Of course, you can't go wrong with Corsica_S. Synths are great. My one complaint might be that the drum rolls are a bit repetitive. "She's been waiting" --- mysterious and evocative, thinking of ... hmmm .... Lost your mind? Hahaha. That could have multiple meanings.

hi Les
multiple meanings... yes, you're right about that! unfortunately "she" was only waiting to kick my ass and leave me completely humbled before i felt any reprieve.

thanks for giving this your ears; i'm happy you got something positive from it. and i always appreciate hearing the crit. yeah drums are a bit of an issue for me. i sense it's time that i figure out how to step up my game or abandon them completely.

thanks m8,

steve

as always, it's great to hear from you. this time you've emerged from your colonel kurtz-like compound from deep in the jungle, perhaps slightly less insane than he... hahaha... i joke, of course but i do feel an extra degree of gratitude that you have arrived in this spot. thanks for the nice comments and get yourself healed up, my friend.
