Description
Grieving is an illness!
I am ill and I’m fighting it off which means I’m fighting off my ability to grieve.
I’m scared that if I do grieve, It will all become real and my mum will be gone..
I don’t and can’t accept that!
When it starts to take me, I feel so confused for a while until I experience the shock of reality.
Then I remember her lovely smile and ever accepting way and that’s what I’m fighting too!
I don’t want to fight her memory, but it’s pulling me to pieces!
What am I to do.....

Thank you Marino
I had a very close relationship with my mother.
I haven't even begun to mourn yet!

Goodbye Mom
Lovely dissonance at the one minute mark. Around 2:30 the melody in the violins is somber and respectful, well done. Thanks for posting. Maybe the sharing will help?

Christopher
You are truly an inspiration to me, the way you compose your emotions is stunning. I believe we will all meet one day somewhere where music fills our souls and your mom and my mom will be right there with us brother, peace my friend. Jd.

Beautiful
I too like the dissonance near the start. It seems appropriate. And then everything becomes bitter-sweet. Do I detect little 'lullaby' motifs? Reminders of childhood?

I lost my mother in 2011. I'd already done a piece for her and every time I play it I am reminded. It was a sad time, but the memories never fade.

Really nice work Christopher.

Hi Dave
Everything you say is correct.
As I'm sure you can understand, having lost your mother, thoughts do take you back to your childhood.
Thanks you for the comment my friend.

Mother
There's a range of emotions here, Christopher, and you skill at conveying these is inspiring. There's no doubt the death of a parent is one of life's most moving experiences. I guess all you can do is reflect on what your mother has given you, and what she would want you to do and be now that she's gone. But I know that in the short term that doesn't help much. Thanks for this fine piece of music.
