A rhythm track...
Paul, I am shocked! Branching out into the lighter side of the universe. This wonderful track just cooks with delightful popping sounds that offer the perfect counterpoint to those metalic spikes that slice the atmosphere periodically. I really like the energy and motion in this creation. A great, fun listen.

Hi Paul....
Do do this sort of a piece was a shock for me to. I wanted to do something different and so started with rhythm rather than my normal way of layering sound washes/scapes. I may do more as time progresses.

The upbeat of the mix spurred me on.

Take care.

Funny how things work out!
Hypnotic.

The sonar like pulses conjure underwater exploration. A soundtrack for Jacques Cousteau perhaps?

Cheers

Dick

Hi Dick...
I'm OK if Jacques was around and wanted to use the mix. I watched all of his videos so could have talked to him about what he was involved in, up to a point.

Take care.

Paul does beats!
Change from your usual fayre, but a nice change at that. Some 'Carmina Burana' soundalikes in one of the synths. To my ears anyway. Very good!

Hi Dave.....
I think I know what you mean with the Carmina Burana thing. A sense of rhythm in a couple of the chord sequences, or a beat or two, here and there. I am a fan of Carmina and have listened to it many, many times, so there could be stuff in there that I may have 'borrowed'. Haha.

Take care.

Hi aRcTip....
I have completed a longer version using the same instruments but with a slightly different rhythm. It is not as upbeat as this version so I may not upload it. I'm playing around with a few mixes and will probably do other mixes over the next little while.

At the moment I'm using my time mainly to do photography and set up a small business here in Sheffield. (Link to some photos is in the profile area).

Take care.

Back for another listen
Which is not so strange considering my first listen was on iPhone speakers ;-) Actually, after listening on my decent (if oldish) headphones, I think I want to come back again. Or rather hit the download button so that I can listen again and again. Very hypnotic in a nice way, as Dick said. And like my fellow Swede above I am curious where this new direction might lead :-)

Thanks and take care,
Henke

Hi Henke.....
Thanks for listening more than once, even though it is not my usual Ambient mix.

I don't know where I will go next. The safe bet is either Ambient or Electronic. We'll see what happens when I next load up the music-making apparatus.

To be honest, everything fit together for this mix like a jigsaw. No problem with either the picture or any pieces being missing. I was lucky. I need to hope that I will be lucky again, but with different sounds and/or a different catchy rhythm.

Take care.
