what is
that main sound? a moog? i can honestly say that was the most unusual take on Mozart i ever heard!

Synth sound
Not sure, I have been building the synths in Ableton the past couple days. It might have started out as a moog but got layered in with other things. Thanks glad you like it!

Sly fox....
Real sneaky and fox like, sly even. Loved when that bass drum kicked in. I think Wolfgang would be pleased and is surely smiling somewhere. Making me think of ELP and Keith working out on his layered stacks/banks of synths & moogs. Excellent work UB. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hall of the Mountain King
Yes you guessed it, from Norwegian composer Edward Grieg! I put in a bit from him as well to mix things up a bit. Nice call you know your stuff :) Thanks !

Greig
Yes a little bit of Peer Gynt at the start. But the rest is Wolfy alright. Crazy! I'm sure he'd have approved, wrong notes and all. Love it, love the techno backbeat. Personally, I'd have done away with the Grieg intro. Or maybe use it as a 'B' side. Certainly more in the same vein.

Brilliant sir!

Aye
Thanks so much! Maybe you are right about the intro. I agree there are a few mistakes as well, played this live in 1 take and the stupid synths don't play when I push the keys all the time like on an action piano. Maybe I will do a more finished version without the Grieg part and no wrong notes. Cheers :)

Ouch!
Must have been some night!
I agree with picking either Grieg or Mozart and sticking to it. But at least the source music is of the best. ... Sorry, but I am a little jittery after having listened to your reinterpretation. Oh, my!

Oh really, jittery in a bad way? I was wanting to be seriously different in this one. I've been working on a new version of it from scratch that's a bit less lunatic. Cheers :)

Good Fun
But a little trying as the minutes pass bye. So, yes, skip the Grieg part to begin with, and consider cutting it short at 3-4 minutes. It's better to have people shout for a da capo rather than begging you to stop ;-)

Thanks and take care,
Henke (who read the first Dune novel this spring and plans to read on this summer...)
