Lyrics
I gotta get back to the Black Country
Where the beer is warm and the people are free

Come and see Black Countryside
Dark by day and red by night

Black Country
Always peaks my interest - Black country. You've really pegged the rock feel on this, excellent structure and guitars. I'm feeling an Edgar Winter vibe on this - very cool.

You got one, Chris
Now who did I steal the descending guitar line from? Clue: not Punxsutawney Phil. Thanks for listening.

Black Country
Didn't hear this one coming in any of your prior work (at least that I heard). Digging that 70s rock edge. Nice guitar work.

I'm not from the Black Country
But I taught in Cannock for years, and love the Black Country Museum (see pic.) I'm not sure what provoked it but I slung together all the rock riffs I knew and viola! Rocktastic, socktastic fun. As ever, thanks for listening, Andrew.

Black Country
This is rockin' Graham. Ha... nothing like warm beer to set you free. Some nice guitar playing. You guys did a great job ... my only nit would be a more driving bass for a kicking song like this.

Cheers, Stan
This was David's first run through, so you know it will get a whole lot better. I thought about making the bass a bit crunchier, but worried that it would intrude on the guitars, which are tangled as it is. Perhaps when David's remixed and mastered it.

70's rock rules
Some of it does, anyway. I like the British bands best, but not the obvious ones. I prefer Budgie to Deep Purple, for example. Dig 'em out, Vic. I'll be doing that when I get to the UK in July. Ta for listening.

Nice work
And I always like the variety you bring to macjams. The unexpected that rocks the house. Has all kinds of cool going on.

Newcomen Engine
Probably the first time anyone has mentioned that in a MJ post. I tried to replicate the noise it makes in this song. (A mighty KERWHUMP!, along with a surprising amount of quiet, while it builds up steam.) The beer is indeed warmish, and it should be mild, not bitter, to be really in keeping. Glad you liked it, John.

Black Country
Hard driving rhythm and fuzzy guitars. Love the arrangement - you keep introducing different elements as the tune develops. Lots of guitars, which I like! Entertaining, Graham!

Elemental
I simplified it as much as I could. I'm in the process of removing excess guitars. Glad you enjoyed it, Philip. Ta ra a bit.

Black Country
Sock puppets rock the Black Country. Sounds like a classic B-grade movie :-) Nothing B-grade about the music, though. Full bore, rocktastic stadium sound. Good one, fellas. Regards, Peter.

We're not clartin' about.
Though I may have to wag it from work to finish it off. The SFX had me sweatin' cobs until I give it 'ommer. That sorted it. Now I'm gooin' wom for me snap. Cheers, Peter.

David rocks
He really does, and this is just an early run through until he gets his astonishing new kit. So you know there will be a killer version of this in a few months' time. Thanks for stopping by, Ricky.

Black Country Rock
After efforts to finesse and polish our songs, sometimes it's cathartic to let go and just rock out. At least that's what this feels like to me happening here. And that's a good thing.

I'm also lovin' all that Brit slang being slung.

However, warm beer? Thank you very much, but I'll pass on that : )

Don't pass
I have a French friend who moved to London for a while and got hooked on breakfast and (warm) British beer. Theakston's, Marston's, Fuller's - all delicious brews guaranteed to change your mind. Glad you liked the tune, though. I'm not very rocky, ordinarily, but I'd like to do more having done this one.

I'm not really a lead guitarist, but I tried to include a variety of squawks towards the end. It needs some more, I think.

Huge compliment
The first Ono Band album is one of my favourites, though I don't really hear a similarity here (Check "The Hunt" for definite Ono influence.) But I'll take that compliment with pleasure, thanks.
