Description
Waiting on a platform on a cool summers night, the train comes in and we go off on a journey, the neon lights and sights of the city go past the window. We stop at the terminal, change trains and off we go again.
Mostly done with Alchemy and a bit of Podolski free synths.
Thanks to Ben Boldt for some drum sounds.

Night Train
Gently developed music that I enjoyed listening to. Warm sounds with the smooth flow of a train in evidence.

Night music.
Really nicely developed Brendan. The arp and glock sounds coming in just after three minutes are brilliant. Nice use of the announcements to give some atmosphere. Was that "Liverpool Central"? Heard that a few times! Love the bass underpinning everything. Really good, loping synth groove.

central station
Yup, I was looking for samples of announcers on free sound and found that one. Stockport to Liverpool central. Thought you might clock that.
There's some great sounds on the free Alchemy..and Podolski. So heads up for the inspiration and the tools to make this come together.
Glad you liked it and thanks for dropping in
cheers

Night Train
A journey worth taking, KB. Especially in a first class cabin. Well done. Thanks, Peter.

Songs with a narrative...
...are always intriguing to me. Your journey begins with the entry of the piano, and that also sets up the mood of the piece. You do an excellent job in picking up the rhythm by increasing the number of strokes (8th notes) in measures as your train gets moving. The addition of the vocals announcing info is a nice touch, too. Clever ideas that you could build into a longer piece that covers some real distance.

Night Trip
This is a lot more mellow and a lot less cacophonous than the trains I ride at night here in New York City : )

You lay down a nice groove and sprinkle it with a multitude of sonic touches through the sound track.

The announcements took me a little by surprise. It's not that they don't fit. But I guess I would've liked to have had some foreshadowing with maybe a single announcement at the very beginning before the train takes off down the track. Just a thought.

I'm as late as the trains I think
I'm not getting notifications a lot of the time and am missing songs.

Very nicely done Brendan. Lovely clean production. Smoother than a very smooth thing.

Cheers
