Description
A lot of the piano pieces I post here are uptempo. This one, however, is very much the opposite and begs your patience and a quiet space in which to listen carefully. I hope that you will enjoy the experience. It is No. 128 in my long series of piano solos and can be found here: http//www/...

A nice somber and slow build. Well done.
Definitely my style. Love it :) Trying to put my finger on who it reminds me of. Maybe half Beethoven half Gershwin or Rachmaninoff? Cheers

The perfect end to a beautiful day
just what I needed to hear this evening. I believe I'll repeat the experience upon waking as it seems appropriate as a gentle beginning as well. I like the subtlety of the string arrangement. wonderfully crafted and an excellent piece.

I love
the way you sometime repeat a particularly sorrowful phrase with an even gentler touch. Quite moments like that have powerful effects.
Nothing to critique just a warm thank you Paul.

Patience and Quiet Space
Your pieces are meditative "places." I read old MJ interview with Tobin and am grateful you opted to press onward after the Latin mass.

A Certain Longing
I could just imagine this floating on the breeze across the water in the artwork picture above, Paul. Just beautiful. Lyrical, tender and delicate. Much thanks, Peter.

an inner flame
What a beautiful journey. I hear nothing somber or indulgent in this haunting piano performance. The space you leave between the chords allows for a few ways to enjoy this piece emotionally - all of them inspiring.

What strikes me is that your playing doesn't at all require patience from me, and it may not even require a quite place - it creates that peaceful atmosphere that makes you enjoy it. Does that make sense?

Really beautiful, subtle, nuanced and thoroughly enjoyable. And No. 128! Where do you take the inspiration for so many excellent compositions. Great...

Tempo
Paul, I'm not sure that your other pieces are all that uptempo, but this one is definitely more downtempo. Lovely piece.

I'm with Mystified...
What I would call, in my own mind, a 'sweet' melancholy... or a deeply felt reflection...

Slow, beautiful, heartfelt...
