Description
I'm part of a ceilidh group... we've been going around five months and do a monthly ceilidh called The Rant, plus a few parties. It's all new to me, but if you play for four or so hours a night you get through a lot of tunes and we are particularly short on 32 bar jigs so I wrote this one this morning with the idea that another band member could write another jig to make a set.

It's just a warts-and-all demo so the non reading member of the band can have something to work with. My banjo is a bit out of tune and I've put my fiddle playing low in the mix because it's pretty awful...

Why thank you
... the fiddle only sounded good because it was so low in the mix. I think the banjo's a bit out of tune , but it's a moot point if you can ever tell with a banjo.too

Hi Will!
Welcome back to a somewhat depleted MJ.
This sounds great. All that's really needed is a little crowd ambience and a few pints of Guinness and I'd be up there playing too.
Cheers from Oz,
Neil

I'm with Philip re the great song name. A merry jig, too. Warts and all is just fine by me. Good one. Thanks, Peter.

Nice traditional song
I really enjoy Celtic music, and it is nice to hear some on Macjams, mando playing sounds great, and no need to bury the fiddle on this one. Thanks for posting!

Very Cool
Celtic music is one of my faves along of course with the Blues, Gypsy Jazz and singer/songwriters. This was a nicely done tune and had the lilting spirit that I so admire about this style of music.
