Tough Love
This is a beautiful song with an attitude which is a
combination I've always liked. I love the simple production
and your voice compels one to listen. Kind of a cross
between Lou Reed and Bob Dylan. Don't see anything
wrong with this one. Eight stars.

Joy must be just around the corner...
So mellow. Wonderful mixture of melancholy and hope,
desire and fear of confrontation, giving the song a sense
of history and honesty. So great to hear real instruments
thru and thru. Nice remix. Very well sung. Love the lyrics,
the simple musician-performer analogy. I realize the
ending works with the concept, but would have preferred
and stronger more definitive ending (musically speaking).
Excellent track.

Nice guitar sound
Great stuff, with a very pleasing guitar sound. I notice that the very good vocal quality was done on a cheap mike, so here's to cheap mikes!

Nice guitar sound
Nice to hear that you like the vocals. The mic was about $70 I think, and the
recording room was my untreated living/bedroom. We also used the built in
preamps of the FW410..

Wow...
You nailed the mix. You nailed the performance. In fact, this is fantastic. Great vocal delivery and writing. Piano is beautiful. Would like to have heard some angelic vocal harmonies. But man... this is good.
