Very Dali-esque!
Maybe I felt that partly from the imagery above, but there certainly was this disjointed yet cohesive feeling to the piece; it simultaneously perked my imagination and pleased my ears with all that tricky syncopation. I have a sense were this piece written out, it would take me a good 16 solid weeks of practice on the piano to get it down just halfway good Charlie--very intricate--just like clockwork! Along with the best, your music always paints a story--I like that. Thanks for sharing this and keep up the exemplary work you do! Michael

I’d love
to hear you give this a whirl on your keyboard but 16 weeks is a bit too much to ask, and your very kind and fascinating take on this is more than fine with me.
Thanks Michael,
Charlie

Cool
Cool motion to this. Evokes nice visuals for me & listens like a story.... Radness.

Counterpoint.
It is so nice to hear you playing with the juxtaposition of individual lines and having each play off of the other. I can somehow feel the springs inside a watch churning to keep up with each second as it ticks off, a sound you have captured so well (and so cleverly) in this very interesting orchestration. I think you are using your instruments very well, indeed. How pleasant to hear such fine, detailed work.

Always a pleasure
to read your comments Paul. Of course you know orchestral music so well yourself it's good to know you enjoyed this.
Cheers,
Charlie

Interesting photo and a captivating piece of music to boot, Charlie. The syncopated strings and the flowing bass lines work so well together. Very impressive. Thanks, Peter.

It's
great when things seem to come together. I'm sometimes just as surprises as anyone. Thanks Peter.

There's a nice to and fro to this Charlie, and I know from experience (and failure) that that's not easy to get right but you've really achieved it here in spades. The string arrangement really shines and overall there's lots going on. Hats off sir!
