Description
Part of a piece I have been commissioned to write to accompany an exhibition telling the story of the 41 men who dies in WWI from the small village of Rainow (where I live). It's a work in progress and is unmixed and not at all finished (as you can tell from the piano doodling at the end where I'm figuring out where to go next!) plus I have 2 more sections to write and the deadline is next month!! - anyway all comments welcome.

Elegant Eulogy
Somber, Moody and Respectful. I think this will set the mood for the exhibition very nicely. The occasional, unexpected dissonance is a bit distracting at first, but it does add a disturbing presence that definitely fits the theme of the exhibition.

Good luck getting this project completed. ;)

Nice atmosphere you've created
I like the slow build and sparseness of the arrangement - and the way there seem to be multiple lines developing. Perhaps a reflection of the individuals who were lost - as separate souls.

Very moving
Some parts at the beginning had a Harold Budd type element going on. I like the minimal orchestration in the background. As someone dais, sombre, but not too depressing to me. Good luck with the project.

They are getting their money's worth...
This piece kind of stirs the mind and causes reflection; just the mood I'm sure the exhibition calls for. Outstanding work!
