Lyrics
My young love said to me, "My mother won't mind
And my father won't slight you for your lack of kind."
Then she stepped away from me and this she did say:
"It will not be long, love, till our wedding day."
She stepped away from me and she moved thru' the fair
And fondly I watched her move here and move there.
And she made her way homeward with one star awake
As swan in the evening moves over the lake.

Loreena McKenitt...
Great control on your voice. Sounds like you are professionally trained. Very expressive performance and a lovely song too. Which microphone do you use?

Thank you! I'm actually an opera singer, but I really love singing folk music. I used the built-in mic on the iMac.

the shivers it deserves
Perhaps even better than Loreena's version, and I happen to hold her in great esteem… perfect pacing, appropriate echo, just need to get you a better mic :-) Even still, this gave me chills to the core, which it is supposed to, brava again, always a treat to hear from you!

Lovely rendition of a wonderful song, Christina. The built in mic gives it a floating, haunting quality. Very glad to have dropped by. Kind regards, Peter.

Lovely
A beautiful version of the classic folk song. The iMac mike is surprisingly good, I've found.

Wow, what a voice.
Pure singing is hard to pull off, we're so used to musical accompaniment that it doesn't sound right unless it's done extremely well. This sounds right, and then some,
