Lyrics
Shivers down the bone
Afraid of the unknown
Want to run out of town
When you're heading
I said when you're heading for a breakdown

Want to be by yourself
Don't want to see nobody else
Your head is spinning 'round
When you're heading
I said when you're heading for a breakdown

Refr: Set me free, oh, set me free

Can't live with all the lies
You hate all those alibies
You feel you're losing ground
When you're heading
I said when you're heading for a breakdown

Brdge: High, high, high, I wanna be high

When you can't see your way
And you don't know what to say
A mental abyss so profound
When you're heading
I said when you're heading for a breakdown

Refr.

Heading for a breakdown
Intersting guitar sounds you're using here. Moody lyrics and solid backing. I like it!

Cool!!
Diggin the groove. I like the spread harmony vocal treatment. Great sound on the rhythm guitar. Strat? I cant believe I'm saying this as a bass player, but the bass feels a smidge big in the mix.Maybe not even the level as much as the EQ curve, maybe trim a little bit off 63Hz, and fatten the kick drum a little to keep the groove thumping...

Cool track
excellent playing all around. Nice split across the guitar, bass and keys - room to breathe. Solid vocals too.

A
great groove with a nice mix, there is great separation on all the instruments, everything in it's own space.
Makes a great listen with nice vocal harmonies.
A wonderful track!
Very much enjoyed Cees.

rocksolid
Great mix, voice sounds strong and even if you hadn't mentioned that you're not feeling 'that way', it would have been pretty obvious by the focus and energy that went into this track! Well done.

Btw. which microphone are you using? Recording a second vocal track and panning the tracks is a bold idea and works!

thanks for your kind words
I used a Röde NT 1-A microphone for the vocals.
I've learned over the years to be more patient with the recording of the vocals. I sometimes redo all the vocals a couple of times.
especially when you want to sing a double vocal you have to get the timing right and it usually takes some time to get the right feel and flow for the vocals. :-)

that's a good mic
and i know what you mean with patience, i did a simple a voice a while ago and it took forever to get it right. the double vocals are spot on.

Serious stuff
Worth considering - I mean the lyrics. The composition and the arrangement fits well to the serious message.

Great production. Highly enjoyable vocals. Thank you.

HEADING FOR A BREAKDOWN
The doubled, panned vocals work so well, KC. You are a master at them. Fine song. Great groove and the lead work sounds like Stephen Stills was in the house. Thanks, Peter.
