Trying to design a good bass instrument I can use as the basis for a few songs. Working on finding a "rattle the windows" sound that relies less on sub-frequencies and more on harmonic overtones. Still learning.

Just some stock loops here to test how this version renders to MP3.

Bass-rattling windows
More and more it seems that finding the "right" bass sound for a new composition is becoming harder than it should be : )

I say that because I now have more and more bass sounds to select from in my GarageBand library .. and it seems to take longer and longer to make a decision. More and more tweaking.

I suppose this shouldn't be taken as a complaint. More is a good thing. This is just me trying to sympathize with your search for the right bass.
