Humor me
One person's laughter .. is another person's slaughter.

This slays me.

Hey Philip

stampede
one senses a celebratory tone in your "blues". i hear the grin in your daug tunes and dig the energy. the art seems so appropriate. there is such a fine line between two states that would seemingly be at opposing ends of the spectrum. but it's all part of the same continuum, innit?

no download? a pity. well, thanks for posting your great music for us to hear.

Ah Mr. Carbon
Since you requested... the download light is on.
Sounds like you got my whole deal figured out. And I thought I was alone on these trips, merely reporting back... for the people's children!
I am humbled Sir. I will work even harder in the future, to present the things you need to hear, before you need to hear them.

Crossing over...
...between a bunch of styles, V-IV-I coming in strong with the boogie woogie...and then some VERY STRANGE scat playing on the organ. You got some jazz, rock 'n' roll, boogie and, well, a bunch of noise that backs it all up into a fun little package. Pretty impressive treat for the ears. (Gee, I wish I could be more articulate about this, but it sure makes me smile, nonetheless.)

Mr. Page arrives
My friend you have stepped into analyzing Daug stuff? Best of luck.
I am pleased to report that all the things you are hearing are indeed present. A classic Muddy Waters' blues form is indeed the germ of this stampede. And was chosen for it's cultural significance, as it is reflected in current/future popular culture. You don't get it, but, ya don't have to in order to dig the piece.
The VERY STRANGE organ solo is not strange at all. The technique featured there is widely used in modern music. Tenderfeet walking on such chromatic organization loose their heads quickly. That is the idea. The rhythmic flow of the solo forces the mind to accept the temporary swimming... Your hearing blues in E, but that's only the back drop... like going along with a joke being spun out... waiting for the punch line. This approach is directly opposed to say the "volcano" techniques or the "make it gross and/or dumb" techniques of solo organization.
If you are looking for something unique... examine how the guitar solo moves over the three different rhythmic contours while navigating multiple tonalities. The solo careens over the soundscape at breakneck speed with first take sparkle.
The disillusioned are leaving Utopia Mr. Page. The cows discovered the slaughterhouse sign in the middle of town. From a distance, with that "S" light turned out, it looked like fun and games. Up close and personal, Utopia is not going over well..., and that is the news :)

Daug gone an dunnit agin.
Not real sure what you did, since therz quite a heady stew here, but it does catch the ear and not let go. Lots of styles not usually found in the same library, let alone the same bar, competing for attention. But ya know, it DOES hang together.

Hello Henry
We will all certainly hang separately or together. Depending how the Leader determines :) Thanks for looking in, appreciate the kind support.

what a bizarre take on blues, it's crazy! You're crazy! I think you hurt my brain! This is like when those kids get messed up watching cartoons because the images overload their brain and they have a seizure, you just did that to me! LOL! "Daugrin, genius or madman? You decide!" Awesome! Jd.

Stampede From Utopia Blues
Being in Utopia would probably get kinda boring. The Man probably wouldn't let you have the blues. Bad advertising. I can see why getting out is desirable. Once again you are trying to muddy the waters, Daug. I'm floating down the river with Huck. Take care, Peter.
