Description
Most likely the final opus for 2014.
This is the fourth number in a new series of pipe organ music that I began to compose several weeks ago. The recording is all digital — one plugin or another from my stash of such things. It's been "tried and tested" on my Rodgers 205 (see the photo above) and plays smoothly. It's also quite short (2:48), but designed for use in a small space of time or as part of prelude music before a liturgical service or to "cover" liturgical action when desired or needed. But I also hope you will enjoy it for its own musical sake, nevertheless. Happy End-of-2014. And many gracious thanks to all who've encouraged me in so many ways this year. I am most grateful for that.

Prelude indeed...
Beautifully done, Paul. I certainly can see this as a prelude to worship... tasteful and uplifting music to aid beleivers in composing their thoughts and hearts as they prepare to worship their Lord. Thanks.

A special piece
Among the many pieces Paul has composed over the years, I find this among my favorites. It is serene, melodious and deeply enriching. I hope to see and hear more like this in 2015.

Rodgers 205
Paul, have you ever done an analog recording of your living room Rodgers 205? I'd love to hear that. Your synth organ does sound very good, but I'd love to hear the real deal.

Tuneful
A lovely bit of "filler"- might distract from the liturgical action. Certainly above the norm for such noodling about to fill a gap in the service. DL'd.

Not a regular chirch goer
but if I pass by and hear an organ playing I tend to drop in. I can imagine this working really well as you suggested.
Happy New Year Paul!

Paul, haven't been around here much of late, but i am glad i stopped in on this lovely arrangement. You always present such concise melodic ideas, and a structure that always evokes emotion. Very nice, my friend.

Totally lovely. This is indeed the best one I've heard in the series. Love the resolving dissonance in the end.

Reverential
A respectful celebration of peace and repose, this music fills each pore with a gratitude for the gift of being alive. To me, the first impression I had was for a film cue - I don't know why, but perhaps it has something to do with the deep emotions that are evoked by your writing especially with the colour of your arrangement here.

Thank you for all of the musical gifts you have carefully crafted and offered with such generosity. All the best for the New Year!

Doug
