Alimar:
composer, arranger, musician(s), producer. Magnificent musical composition. I can't imagine the time and study you have put in so that you can record something like this... All I can say is, kudos to you and the orchestra!

Lovely
I really enjoyed the independence of the instrument lines, the personality you pull out of these midi instruments (astounding), and the theatrical way you move the story along, as if the music is backing for a visual scene from a breathtaking film. Really enjoyable! Thanks for sharing this, and Happy New Year, Al!

Rhapsody For The Elephant
Poetic and epic, Alimar. Who have thought that elephants could be so graceful when the situation demands it? :-) Subtle and delicate one minute. Majestic and swaggering the next. You impart a sense of space and a lightness of touch to midi instruments that few people can match. So, so impressive. Thanks for sharing this fine work with us. Kind regards, Peter.

Evocative
Conjures up lots of images (few of which include an elephant). What a panoply of sounds that beast pulls from his trunk! Cinematic and dramatic alternate with serene and tender moments. I might add, the orchestra sounds magnificent and the mix is beyond reproach. Kudos!

Elephants CAN dance!
I had to listen to this one on SoundCloud since I can't seem to make the player work in Safari. In any event, this is a colossal work which is so full of inventiveness and shine that I can scarcely imagine how you developed it. Nicely nicely done my friend. It was a pleasure to listen to with great care to revel in the magic. The orchestra's sounding great BTW!

All the best,
Doug

Congratulations
Very cool stuff. You really can make that orchestra "sing". I enjoy that I can still hear that it is an Alimar piece with many rather sudden changes and developments, but I think it's on a new even more professional level. So all the work paid off, I suppose. I wouldn't be surprised (only joyed) to see your name in the credits of a movie in the near future. This has a lot of soundtrack quality to it, I think.

Hope you have a wonderful 2015.

Take care,
Henke

Serious music...
...seriously conceived, seriously developed, beautifully orchestrated. You have such a fine sense of what works and the ability to somehow throw in even the kitchen sink and make it sing! The details (there are so many of them!) are really magical treasures that you drop in all along the way. You have this great crescendo around 13:30 with all those sputtering trombones, but the trail-off at 13:50 with that piano gliss and the gentle harp and vln. solo are amazingly delicate and such a marvelous ending. What an impressive work this. I hope you've written it out because it would be so much fun to hear it played live. I have much to learn from this wonderful composition.

Scored
The music is completely scored (my notation 'spelling' is atrocious, tho! All accidentals, with no key sig) with all instruments, full articulations, dynamics and tempo changes to boot. Thanks a million for dropping by to listen and comment. I fully appreciate your remarks!
