Description
original ibanez acoustic guitar experience . . .

' recorded jan. 2 - 2015 a.d. . . .

i finally figured out what the hiss has been from -
' just depressed an effects button on the mixer for the Guitar Track - disabling it - and the hum and hiss went away.

i would say this melody and form is also tapered to also accommodate a future vocalist if anyone is interested . . . i would lower the whole pie 2 or 3 db and then sing away.

First i am using an older twelve-string on the Guitar Track - i am using six strings - tuned from bottom : B , F# , B , F# , A , C# . . .

Then Latter light voices are from Yamaha S08 Keyboard.

Ode
Happy New Year to you, Scott! I haven't been listening in awhile, and your piece is the first I stumbled upon. I enjoy its mellow feel and melodic meanderings. Centering..

mellow mood music...
with interesting turns here and there. Your recording is crystal clear, very present as I listen. All in all a very peaceful and enjoyable song for this early new year. Thanks...

Ode to Crooked Crow
The alternative tuning gives the piece a drone quality in the low end that sits very nicely under the "melody" strings. Some very nice sound out of the Ibanez, too. Nice spread and balance in the recording. Enjoyed. Thanks, Peter.

Not trying to be too much
This was a pleasant piece to randomly find on MacJams on a winter afternoon. Hearing it perfectly fit with the tranquility of my quiet room.

Could more be done with it? Sure. Of course. Words could be added. Other instruments, too, and perhaps a lead instrument as well. Yet it works fine as it is. There is a nice full sound to your guitar work. As you have recorded it here, it really feels like I am sitting across from you listening to you play. Personally, I love these kinds of posts.

Ode to Crooked Crow
A very present sound to the guitar. Gentle progressions used. Easy to listen to.

Very nicely handled guitar...
...one of those pieces that speaks its language beautifully (and to that end, while a vocal would be nice on this, I think it stands on its own quite ably). I had no idea you played guitar--you are quite a formidable musician Scott! Alas, I have moved from Minneapolis to the sweatier climes of Birmingham, Alabama so probably may never get to hear you perform in person--but glad you are here! Thanks again and take good care now, Michael
