You gotta fight for your place
'Cause nothing in life is for free
We are fighting over space
Things go wrong when people disagree
We need to cut to the chase
Or we will never be free

Refr: Can't always get what you want
You can't always have it your way
Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't
Life is a game that we play

I see the human race
We're killing mother Earth
At such an incredible pace
I ask you: What's it all worth
I think it's a disgrace
It is a wild goose chase

Cool track -
nice changes in the bass and guitars. Smooth vocals. You might consider exploring more alternate drum sections to mark out the time in different ways. Hope you don't mind the 2 cents.

An enjoyable listen Cees
You seem to be getting the production side of things really well sorted out these days - everything else is terrific too. Cool post.

Multi-talented! That's a great drawing. Guy in a smoky bar lamenting the state of things, faraway look, dejected. Cool tuneage. You have a lot of personality in your vocal delivery.

I love the noirish mood...
..this paints a picture for me of a kind of quiet desperation, perhaps in the Big City where the singer/storyteller in greatly involved--a kind of world weary person who has been around the block a few times, but the theme covers a broader expanse than this. I always know when I listen to your work Cees that I will enjoy and appreciate what I listen too. However, in this one instance, I do have one suggestion, just from a vocalist's perspective, and that is I think this would be even more striking for me with a little "air" in the vocal-- a bit more away from the mic. I wish I were half as expressive as some of your other commentators are regarding these things, so in the terms I'm familiar with, perhaps a bit more reverb or echo (just a wee bit there)--I think that would truly make it meld better with the theme and content. ANYTHING you do is tops in my book, even if I feel there is something I personally would change, yanno? You take care and thanks for sharing more fine work! Michael

Laid back blues. KC, underpinned by that super solid bass line. Late night musing. Thanks, Peter.
