Rough?
Pull the other one Steve ;-)

You have mentioned this on Tuesday.

Nice guitar and a good song. Those drop down sections work really well.

dude....you are the king of convenience!
signature cool delivery and after-shave voice-over vocals....seriously if you need an agent.....call me.
always impressed with your crystal clear mixes.
this doesn't sound very 'rough' to me....can't imagine what kind of polish it needs....except maybe "Nowe paluszki rybne".

As Is
Nice clean sound and crystal clear singing .. as well as deft guitar licking. Don't bother to polish it - that would perhaps take the freshness out of it.

Not just clear singing...
...Beautiful singing. You have such a rich-sounding voice that is most pleasant to listen to. A gift, I would say. ... Guitar work is also perfect for this track, esp. the little solo licks. It would be easy to miss the bass if one weren't paying attention to it, but has a particular and special life of its own in the track and sings in its own right. Solos around 2:45 are so mellow. What a clear, clean recording. Everything is balanced just so. I think I can safely say that most of can "go to school" on your mixing job. Thanks for the lesson...and a great song.

Classy, laid back vibe that really works its magic. The mix sounds so balanced and spacious. Wonderful vocal and guitar work. Fine post. Take up Julian's offer! :-) Thanks, Peter.

Glad you liked the mix...I am always worried if it sounds OK, particularly as I am mixing on headphones in a bedroom rather than a proper studio with monitors! Cheers for listening in

this is the day
Never noticed before but there's a touch of the Matt Johnson in your voice on this. You always seem to get a really clear guitar sound and allows space for the interplay. I know you hate doing the drums but the changes pay out and help to lift and move the song along. I would suggest just a few crash cymbals here and there to accentuate the changes in sections.
But good track and enjoyed
cheers

Not too familiar with Matt Johnson's stuff aside from a few of the early The The singles which I recall liking! Yes I might add a bit of extra cymbal to this one soon. Cheers for listening in.
