Description
i recorded the music to this a little over a year ago. couldn't come up with lyrics at the time, so it sat. even though i have several tunes in the works i was determined to get this one finished up. work has been extremely busy the past month and gave a bit of inspiration to scratch the lyrics down and record vocals.

Lyrics
And Now…

everything is faster then ever before
i don’t have the time to think no more
could you be quicker, faster on your feet
slow down your confusing me

and now
they lobotomize my brain
and now
i’m living in a cage
and now
crossing off the days

circus in a frenzy demanding center stage
did you know the deadline was yesterday
all the hardware gives you much more speed
sorry to interrupt, just one more change

and now
they lobotomize my brain
and now
i’m living in a cage
and now
crossing off the days

misdirected, miscommunicated, wasted a day
have to cover someone else’s mistakes
could you just slow down and think it out
god… tomorrow… it starts all over again

and now
they lobotomize my brain
and now
i’m living in a cage
and now
crossing off the days

Happiness and relief
Maybe thinking is overrated? Just knock it out .. faster!

The lyrics are almost always the hardest part. So when the conception finally happens for a piece of music that has been sitting around waiting for the right words .. that comes with a sense of relief. I mean happiness. Happiness and relief.

Great guitars (as usual).

Syd Barret would be proud - Vic styled rock glory at it's finest. Your songs always have those "left turn" chord changes that set you apart in this genre. Good stuff V!

And now
The strong drums and edgy guitars give this lots of drive, which matches the lyrics. The guitar solo has lots of power. I like it!

And Now...
Powerful intro. The insistent drums and driving guitars really move the song along. What ever happened to working smarter not harder? In Australia, less people are working longer hours and unemployment is growing. There seems a simple solution, but.... Fine songs, as always, Vic. Take care, Peter.

Hey Vic - I like this straight forward rock approach you've taken here - reminds me of early Def Lepard. Interesting chorus and a nice solo break. How do you keep churning out the hits, my friend? Enjoyed!

and how
I go through the same thing, I have many songs that are incomplete some I know I will never get back to, The lyrics and singing really go well with the bed like when the pad comes in against the choppy lead tops again Vic!

Cool track Vic
I like the straight ahead beat with the subject matter. Four on the floor. Cool turns on the guitars.
