Lyrics
Moontime

Who’s that alone with me – standing in the moonlight baby?
It’s you and I can’t believe – drowning in the moonlight baby
Talking aloud to me – hands are doing word signs baby
Feel like a refugee – and working on my shoeshine baby

Yes my life it was make believe
I’d take you there and then I’d want to leave
You don’t know why but you know, you know I want you

You’ve moving in my head – Dancing in the cruel light baby
Your leaving things unsaid – just like in an old time Scorsese
My scene is infrared – everything I see now is changing
Looks like your mind is set – everything I knew then is fading

In your eyes I can see my need
I’ve been down so low
Now I’m off my knees
I don’t know why but you know, you know I want you

Middle: -

You want the time
Stay on the line
Your next in line, baby

Well if it’s you
I’ll put you through
You sound confused, baby.

Calling aloud your name – Feeling like it’s real time baby
Hoping it’s not in vain – Feeling like it’s your time baby
Future is what remains – hiding in the moonlight baby
Hoping you’ll feel the same – moving from the cruel light baby

In your eyes I can see my need
I’ve been down so low
Now I’m off my knees
I don’t know why but you know, you know I want you

This had a very 80's ( mid to late) feel to it.. I liked the music mix and structure..Nothing wrong with the 'babys'.. The element of mystery within the chords..nice

What fx do you have on your vox?

Interesting effects on the vocal. Good arrangement - I like the little bits that come in and out (a hand clap here, a guitar strum there). Much enjoyed!

Catchy pop rock, Richard. I like the arrangement and the vocal call/response use. Some nice Strat vignettes. Good one. Thanks, Peter.

I
like the inventive way you've recorded the vocals and some nice instrumentation here with a nice stereo spread.
Good arrangement too and very much enjoyed.

definitely
an 80s vibe, with a touch of Santana in the vocals and organ (I'm thinking "Evil Ways"). Would have preferred a drum machine to the drum track that you have now to complete the aesthetic.
