Lyrics
Hurry - life may pass you by today
Lifelines thrown to you may float away
Songs you forgot are flooding back
Sounds you thought had fallen through the cracks
Quickly - life's too short to live alone
Struggle with a world that's overgrown
And if you're searching for someone, your life's a song
And if the battle's lost or won, your life's a song
And if your life has just begun, your life's a song
And when it's all been said and done, your life's a song.

Turd in the hills
Just what is that singing turd there G? What diabolical myth are you perpetrating on the unsuspecting here? Ah, none. Oh, sorry.
Nice job all around on this redo. Thanks for sharing your tunes with us.

It's a sock!
But they do tend to look a bit turdular, especially in that colour scheme. Thanks for your time, Daug.

Hearing the cool Beatle vibe, but your vocals always scream XTC to me. And that's always a great thing.

Apple Venus
is a favourite, so cheers for that. Having access to such an able drummer makes music I previously though impossible seem accessible and doable. It's remarkable what confidence can do. Thanks for the encouragement, Andrew.

Agreed...
Beatlesque..."A fog upon L.A."
This is a pretty cool track. Bit difficult to hear the words distinctly, but the "sound" is terrific. Drums are nice, but maybe a bit loud in the mix. I really like the guitar strums throughout: very simple and effective. Nice track, Graham.

Thanks, Paul
I left the original vocals alone. I'm not sure how they were recorded. The rest was largely redone. Funny, I was thinking the drums were not high enough in the mix! Glad you liked it, warts and all.

Life's a song
Ashram inspired stream of consciousness goodness, Graham :-) That spacey bass works a treat over the drone-style vocals and effected guitar. Fine, retro sounding drums, too. Thanks, Peter.

New bass and drums
I used my new bass, and David channelled Ringo for the drums. Happy you liked it, Peter.

It is shining
Did Ringo come up with that drum bit on his own? I tend to underestimate him, I think. Anyway, I read the Wiki article on Tomorrow, assuming that I knew what it was all about. I was close. I saw a reference in the article that goes right to your lyrics, as quoted from Harrison. OK, I'm impressed by the connections and the homage to my favorite Beatles song, and that you could express yourself so concisely in the lyrics. The music and performances are something you can be proud of. Well done, gents.

Ringo was actually the best
drummer in The Beatles, and in many other places. I believe he came up with the drums. They collaborated on so much, though, you have to credit the four - headed beast for much of what they did.
The TNK connection came late on, and I wish I'd thought of the backwards guitar that Dick suggested. Next incarnation... Cheers, Les.

Turn off your mind
Hits the Beatles groove nicely with the drums, melody and vocals. Some backwards guitar would be nice over that middle section.

Cheers

Dick

Yes, it would.
I suppose it's because the Beatles version was an afterthought, but, bugger, why didn't I think of that? I love messing about with backwards guitar. Ta for listening and making me turn my guitar upside - down, Dick.

Real drums
David's the real McNair all right. He knows what to do before I've written the song. I'm getting towards the end of our last year's output, but I'm saving the best for last. Watch this space, and thanks for listening.

That's not Mr Hankey!
I'm going to have to lay off the realistic sock colours. Most of my songs have two parts. I'm learning to do it the traditional way, but it doesn't come easy. Who knows why? Not Tomorrow. Hah! Thanks for listening, Julian.

As Dick suggested, it needs some backwards guitar to complete the job. But it will do for now. Thank you, Vic.
