Lyrics
Things have slowed down
Is it age?
And is it time to turn the page?
How do I know?
When do I go?
What do I say?

Forever drifting away

Pretty sounds turn into noise
Just a kid who gets bored with his toys

Tried to write this song four years ago
Somehow I thought by now I'd know

I'm gonna drive from coast to coast
To look for something that I don't know
But I'm gonna go, and I hope it finds me

The wind in my soul, wherever it blows
Seems to know what I don't
And I'm gonna go and trust it blindly

And I still see the magic of it all

Think I wrote this song four years ago

Has an element
of Rufus Wainwright.

Wonderfully anguished vocals.

Liked!

Cheers

I like the sombre vibe and your authentic vocals, Noah. The unusual chord changes give the song a brooding edge and the dynamic lifts and falls indicate that you are singing from the heart. Thanks, Peter.

Thankfully, I've never stopped singing from the heart, glad you enjoyed this piece, it's got a certain sombre flavor for sure.

I agree with Dick. There's a sort of longing sadness in your performance. Live and on stage, this would be a very jarring number (in good ways). A certain poignant honest seeps through every line. (May be a bit out of your vocal range. Might be easier to sing a couple of notes lower...But then you might lose the anguish. Something to consider.)

thanks Paul
I did performed this song on stage for my going away party as I embarked on the coast to coast journey. I think it was very special for everyone there. It is within my vocal range, but I have been sick the last few weeks and my voice isn't quite up to the task.

Superb vocals
And unusual chord sequence, but it all works.
