Description
I have been studying and recording the Bach 2 and 3-part inventions lately, so the influence can be clearly seen/heard in this No.148 from my piano collection "By The Numbers." There's nothing particularly original about this short work, but I enjoyed working out the details as the piece progresses...and I hope you will also find satisfaction in the process and realization. If you are interested in seeing what this looks like on paper (or even in playing it yourself!), you can find the full score here: http//ww/...

Balancing act
These mathematically-structured piano pieces have a different kind of appeal than an emotionally-driven performance. It's not that there aren't moments of emphasis during the unfolding of the score that add tension on release; it's that that isn't the primary effect of the music on the ear. It's more about a growing appreciation for the maturation - and execution - of an idea. Here you have nicely balanced the intellectual and emotional elements of music making.

Bach
Bach is a nice subject to return to and explore anytime, and you masterfully added your own colors here. It is always a joy to listen to your elegant play. Thank you.

No better master to study than Bach. It's easy to compose "in the style" of Bach, but hard to make something worth repeated listenings like this. As always, this goes in my PFP Numbers album on the iPod. Thanks.

Like
many here I adore Bach.
This invention seems truer to its era than some of your other classically inspired works. It's quite lovely. I could almost say I adore it.
Cheers,
Charlie

A beautifully done classically influenced piece, as only a master could play it. Well done, sir!
