Last Man Standing

Description
An update to last night's composition..

Imagine if you will, the immediate aftermath of a fierce firefight. Bodies strewn across the battlefield, fading in an out of view behind the smoke, static sounding from a damaged radio pack in the background, and just a single soldier looks over the devastation. He, who fired the final shot, now faces the realisation that among his fallen companions, he is the Last Man Standing.

In the update, I've included a solo voice to further emphasise the solitude of our soldier, and also incorporated some firearms samples into the percussion.

Expertly done
This could accompany lots of pictures Nahum but the one you describe is perfect.

One day I hope to hear these through some state of the art cinemas system with images to match.

Cheers

Dick

Excellent, Ash
I love this. Apart from the filmic angle, there is a whole weird genre of music that ground forces listen to. Most of it - I would guess - sits in the "waiting to go into action" category, and a lot of it in the "out there in the face of danger" category. This is amply borne out by literature and documentary film....but there is a whole different category that must exist, which is coming down from the adrenaline high. And you have clearly hit on that here.
Very nice work, but sadly I have no idea how to get it out there. Someone must though.

Wowsee
Nahum, this is brilliant. I'm reminded, at the start, of one of my favourite pieces of film music, which is the soundtrack to 'The Legion', if you know it. The film was OK, but, for me anyway, Atli Örvarsson's soundtrack was the thing that made it sparkle.

You've got this down to a tee and I agree with Dick. I'd love to hear your music accompanying something on the big screen.

Big, big sound. Nice one.

Wrong title
The film was called "The Eagle", not The Legion. Sorry!

The eagle
That's the one with Jamie Bell right? About the Roman Legion that goes missing? We have that on our DVD wall, I'll give it another watch! I didn't remember the music especially from it, maybe I just wasn't paying attention!

Last Man Standing
Aching, contemplative music with ominous undertones. Mission accomplished, Nahum. Thanks, Peter.
