8 miles
..... Not so crazy about the placebo horns but the guitar work is spot on ..... Totally enjoyed

Yea, how many miles was that?
The genuine horn section is cost prohibitive my friend. The best part about using the placebo is actually the horns play what ya write for them... as opposed to real, and got to get paid guys, who will not play the chart until they "sweeten it up".
Glad you enjoyed the program.

Hello my friend
Em F#min7 G D C G is pretty much all on the chord pallet. This one is fashioned after an Indian raga. The scalar possibilities with this backing make improv easy.
Thanks for checking in....

Soar like an eagle ...
... or at least fly eight mies high like a Byrd.

You have achieved take-off!

An interesting revisit to a Sixties psychedelic classic.

New Things to See
Lots to take in here but it holds together well. Insistent drive over a throbbing low end. Some fine guitar work, as always. Thanks, Peter.

Hello Steve
This is very similar to 8 miles high? Naw, how could that be...
Perhaps something is happening?
Very subtle happenings my friend loll. There are four explosions during this experience, each one is audible and demarcates a new unique approach to some aspect of the tune.
The last section is my favorite... everything is first take including the last section with the 12 string lead. I had no idea what was going to happen. I knew I wanted the 12 string on there and vaguely thought about having to make a couple of passes to get something reasonable... but man- first take sparkle.

8 miles high
there is a wash of some sort of keyboard in the back ground that I really get into and the almost jittery playing flickering in the background, taking that 8 miles and sretching it a few more, now that was entertainment

Hello Tim
Thanks for dropping by... There is a piano and clavinette on this one. There is a high energy synth line that apes aspects of what Roger McG played on the original recording. Hope that helps ya out.

the test can...
scramble one's brain if not viewed through the right lens. Travel under the radar to comprehend and enjoy... Thanks, Daug.

Hello Jack
My point was something like, with the mind control at unprecidented levels and the numbness consuming everything a little hallucination and expanding consciousness might be in order... But I look at things differently. Caution is really the option of those willing to roll another number and chill. We've had enough of dat.... Lol.

Ah, Mr. Page
Welcome back to the daughouse. Were you expecting a sticky bun? A Mozart sentimentality? Naw, ya get the klaxon call here. Time to see the world in the whole light. I hear Duck tape will help with the head thing... Ears a bit liberated Paul? Thanks for your kindness.
