Lyrics
You Are The Sun

You are the sun

In all my darkest days
Riding round in a purple haze
Like a rat in an endless maze

I suffer from a mayonnaise
Maybe that should be malaise
Anyway it's the latest craze

Anyway, I know I'll take it
Anyway, I know I'll make it
Because I got a secret

You are the sun

You are the moon and stars
The sky above

Oo ah!

You are the sun.

disco!!!
but with a bit more class and melody. all that's missing is the black female backup singers and a bit of glitter.

Cheers, Sam
I think this improves on the earlier version that you heard. The vocals however make me reach for the autotune button...

Burning Love
We need a new category: Spousal Praise Songs!

Love that word mash-up about a mayo-malaise : )

Especially fun is the mix of guitars spread out in the different channels. There's a whole solar system spinning around in it.

Bad puns
and guitar jiggery - pokery are my specialities. Thanks for your kind remarks, Warren. And, yes, we do need that category.

Many have done them!
Spousal Praise Songs. I've done a few. None as good as this though!

I love the "meeeowwww" guitar at the end of maze. Nicely done!

Many miaows
were removed in the making of this song. I played it straight through using the wah, then edited out the crap and the superfluous. Thanks muchly for the kind words.

Here's Hoping You Can...
... trot this out as a *Get-Out-Of-The-Doghouse-FREE* card when you need it. LOL!

Sammy is right this has a quirky sort of Neo-Disco feel to it... sunny, bright, UP and loving. I like it. ;)

Good idea
I must put a copy on Mrs E's iPad. This actually started as a variation on "Blackbird", with a few bits of English folk thrown in. Thanks for listening, Joe.

Love-song...
Sweet tune for your wife. I've been known to post a song or two for my wife, so I have a soft spot for someone willing to unabashedly post one. Nice song with real good vocals and instrumentation! Kudos and blessings...

Cheers, Jack.
I'd like to hear an acapulco (sic - Bilko fan here) version by someone good at it, as the percussion is minimal and easy to replicate with hands and fingers.

Neo disco?
Don't know about that, but it sure was fun to hear this little number kind of plunk along in such an unusual way. Seems like a hybrid song that sort of fits only into its own genre. (Vocal tuning is just a tinge flat on a few notes. So hard to get this right, I know.)

Tell me about it.
I'm busy fixing things on older tunes, and the vocals for this are on my list. Thanks for the listen, Paul.
