Description
This is No. 159 in my long piano series. The score can be found here:

Had just seen the little film "Like Sunday. Like Rain" and my wife thought THIS music would have fit the film nicely. (I thought so, too.) Anyway, it is a gentle little thing that I hope you will enjoy hearing.

Gentle music.
A gentle and yet lively tune played with great sensitivity. I like the way it gently rises and falls in volume and pace, and the way it works its way under my skin. Great stuff as usual.

Playful and contemplative
Wonderfully performed and do I hear a few more of those Bach like passages creeping in?

Cheers

Wistful and nostalgic
at least to me.
Not familiar with "Like Sunday. Like Rain" but I've no doubt that this would be a lovely asset to any film that cherishes beauty.
Lovely work Paul.

Gentle and enjoyable indeed
very impressionistic and nuanced. I can hear how your wife might appreciate it as music suited to film. Lovely.

Playing In The Rain
Classy playing, Paul. We seem to lose our ability to play in the rain as we grow more "sensible". Pity. Thanks. Take care, Peter.

As always, you're in fine form: beautifully played, beautifully recorded. I need to go back through your catalog & listen to the ones I've missed!

I simply
love the sound of your style of playing. The fluidity, to be specific. I hear it every time on every song. It's becoming a 'signature' for me.

Whimsical and fun!
We should never stop dancing in the rain. I stomped in a few puddles this summer., and danced a little, too. This tune expresses what I felt. Thanks, Paul. Your playing is effortless, a real treat.

Rain
Sweet piece of music. In places it sounded rather Mozartean with the Alberti bass and single note melody. And then you throw in some more modern sensibilities....

I continue to be in awe...
...of your ability to produce music of this quality, music that's intelligent but full of feeling, full of melody, music that engages...

...and of your good and generous relationship with your muse...

I'm sure your music, or the preparation for it, involves work, but it never sounds like you're working when you play it... Everything gets out of the way...I can't see the wires...
