Lyrics
It's gotten bad, I tell you
It's gotten bad to the bone
You have been twisting and turning
In your pathetic little world

Telling others to live up to
Your standards in live
It ain't working, you see now
And it cuts like a knife

You're going down
down, down and deeper
You're going down….

So you build up a circus
Known as "Your Life"
Build upon a pipe dream
Castles in the Sky

You chased everyone away now
And you're standing alone
Your big mouth is closed now
And you're cold to the Bones

You're going down
down, down and deeper
You're going down….

… Cold to the Bones

… Cold to the Bones
… Cold to the Bones…

In my opinion
this is really good.

The drums came through loud and clear at the start but seemed to dump into the background behind the driving guitar. I'd bring those drums up again and let them push the guitar along!

Nicely done.

Hi Mark
Thanks so much for your comment, nice of you to take the time to listen. I understood that fiddling with the drums/guitar balance was a real problematic mixing issue, this was the best we could come up with :)

Bones- band demo track
This doesn't suck :)... You'd be surprised good "Budget recording " can sound. The mix could use a little love, but over all I like this a lot.

Kinda
Levee Break-ish. When you say "demo for my band," do you mean a demo you made for the other members or a demo *of* the band to shop around? If it's the latter, yeah, the mix could use a bit of work. Song itself is rockin, but the mix doesn't represent it well, I feel.

Thanks
Any clear thoughts on the mix? Just curious :)

Somewhat
heavy in the low mids which gives the mix a sort of "blanketed" sound. As Mark stated, the drums get a little buried when the guitars kick in, so some masking going on. The bass guitar is pretty buried also and has a "smothered" tone to it. The vocals sound pretty good, though.
If you don't mind sharing the RAW stems, I'd love a crack at because I think the song itself is pretty awesome. You don't even have to use my mix, I'd just like a go at it.
