Description
A Christmas Song? With this latest version of GarageBand, my goal this year is to create my own Christmas album. My intent is to create a something more akin to jazz, but using the Tune-Up Mini collection, this track has a new age or trance vibe.

When I got here
this song was rated a perfect 10. I'm not sure if it's
perfect, but you do have a lovely tone on that tenor sax.

Good melody to improvise around, and you do it well.

When I got here
Thank you! A friend of mine gave it a perfect 10. Thanks for being a bit more
objective.

Also, I appreciate the comment on the sound quality. After listening to some
of you music, you definitely know how challenging it is to record every little
sound the instrument makes when mic'ed that close.

Niceā€¦ really nice.
Nice to see that Christmas doesn't come just once a
year! An interesting and atmospheric version of one
of my (many) favourite Christmas tunes. This is going
onto my iTunes Christmas play list immediately.
Sorted!

Never too early to start Christmas shopping
Very nice new age style music bed, like Andreas
Vollenweider. The sax has nice tone, but, for me, the mic
doesn't capture the intimate articulations that would give
it the sort of personality I am looking for in solo sax
recordings. More variations of tonguing, phrasing and
tone, like in a Brecker recording, will be needed if you are
going to have an entire album of sax music. Very pleasant
and nicely done track, however.

Never too early to start Christmas shopping
I do want to work towards that raw sound. For this mellow, new age sounding
thing, the raw sound was hard to get used to. Stay tuned for some other
tracks. I promise breathing and pad noises.

Nice Sax
The tone on the sax is great and you play it sweet but,
even though it has not yet been scientifically proven, jazz
versions of xmas songs are what inspire most serial
killers. I'm not sure what would motivate you to
contribute to an already too large body of really, really
bad music.

Nice Sax
P.S. I may be harsh but I won't b.s. you. In any case, if it's in your heart to do
traditional music, search the field better and bring forth something people
might not otherwise have heard.

If you want inspiration, check out music and thoughts here from people who
have no idea what they're doing. If there's genius about, that's where you'll
find it.

I like :)

This will be a nice addition to your Christmas album--Be
sure to post more of your music from that here, too!
I'd like to hear more, myself.

Thanks for sharing your talent here at MacJams :)

Awesome Song
It's really nice to see that someone out there is recreating
a song that everyone knows and is doing a wonderful job
on it. Kudos to you!
