Sanctuary of the Star

Description
I was asked to create the title track for the upcoming Radio Rivendell compilation CD called 'The Book of Ages'. I may have gotten a bit carried away with the length. This is officially the longest track I have ever made!

mystical...
...magical, with a sort-of shimmering quality throughout that takes me into a dreamland (and maybe a nightmare by the time I get to final minute or so). Quite a story that this music narrates. I don't know if you have something specific in mind, but there is certainly a direction to your thoughts. Really nicely put together and recorded. I appreciate the tremendous amount of care that all of this took. Quite a remarkable track, indeed.

Rivendell
This is a lovely piece. Quite cinematic. In a couple of places I noticed that you have the strings quite a bit "drier" than is customary in this sort of music, but that's your idiomatic style.
Enjoyed.

Ah
So that's what I felt, couldn't put my finger on it, other than that it had to do with the strings in a couple of places...

And well done too!
There are many pitfalls on the road to longer tracks but you managed beautifully to pass them all, great changes in good time before getting repetitive and still holding on to the theme and feel of the piece.

I think I'll grab a copy of this, thank you very much :-)

Take care and good luck with the CD,
Henke

Sanctus
The lyrical quality moved me through the sections as I visualized hobbity/elven scenes.

Nicely done. Thanks for the download
