Out of the Aeons

Description
I wrote this piece as I was learning to use some of the various features of Logic Pro X. It has a cinematic quality to it, as if it were the background music to a scene or a video game.

Out of the Aeons
Very well done. I love the blend of synths on this! I agree it would be a perfect song for any kind of media whether it be a video or game.

Very interesting and captivating. The Gm to Cm change (?) is a nice touch..even if it's just a chord change it adds to the composition.
As to film music I was thinking Bladerunner maybe
Enjoyed

Nice Ear!
Brendan, thanks for actively listening to it. The chord change is actually Gm to A diminished, but I'm still amazed at your listening skills!

Uh oh...
I especially like the low, rumbling synths and the bass coming in here and there. Gives the whole piece a sense that something ominous is about to happen. The key changes are extremely effective too. A really nice piece.

What's waiting around the corner...?
Game soundtrack for sure. Something dystopian probably (not meant as a criticism BTW - it's an effective mood for those kind of games). Enough changeup to let the music evolve over the driving beat. Nice choice of sounds to carry the piece and keep interest.

Have fun learning LP X. Have you used the Alchemy synth in this one or the older Logic/Apple synths?

Thanks, Doug!
No, that wasn't Alchemy. I have gotten that far into it yet. I'm working through the book "Logic Pro X Power!". It's a great resource!

While I'm a guitarist and bassist, I've also studied composition. I really love to create techno-based music using my iPad and Logic Pro on my MacBook Pro. I especially like to build up layers of loops, then morph them and then deconstruct them.... [see more]
