Nice one Steve
I'm a sucker for a cool country tune, and you've managed to add some variation with your instrumentation and harmonies. The harmonies add a British tinge to the mixture.
This is a really nice package - will you be doing this live?
Cheers from Oz,
Neil

Yee Haw...
...out on the Ponderosa. You've got that "ridin' in the saddle again" feeling down to a science here. I love the bent chords, too (pedal steel guitar?) ... haven't heard this effect in a while and it's really nice in your arrangement. Glad I hear this wonderful song tonight. Yippie-i-o...

Demo-licious!
Steve, this is a wonderful demo. Great changes musically; all done with a "down home" touch. Strong singing. I've enjoyed listening to it over and over again .. and it just seems to get better with each listen!

I think you can push these lyrics a bit further. I love it when you start talking about the rising flood waters (talk about something coming from below!). I'd also like to know what was lost in the shuffle because they were taken for granted : )

It's posts like this that keeps MacJams a special place.

Mixed
I really liked the main parts of the song. The ooh, wooh, ahh was a little overdone but that is probably just me and my taste. The steel guitar is great and adds a lot of ambiance. Would have liked more lyrics that told a stronger story.
