Description
This is a song that I wrote on Wikiloops as a dedication to my mom when she died in 2011 from cancer. Going back today and reliving some memories:) I miss her.

It's complicated
Like fathers and sons, the mothers and daughters relationship is .. complicated. That complexity .. and the love that was there despite the stumbling blocks .. is nicely felt and expressed in this song.

"You held my hand while I grew up/I held your hand on that last day" is a sharply realized twist of fate. That's good writing!

Thanks for listening Warren!
Yeah, as a parent now, it gives you both sides of a relationship. It makes things make more sense:) I appreciate your kind words!

Sweet Tribute
There's no sense in trying to critique such an honest expression of love and longing. This is quite beautiful in every way: lyrics, simple guitar accompoaniment (so well-played), and in your vocal delivery. Memories are always good. Missing your mom — just honesty and love, things that never die.

Hi Paul!
Thanks for listening! Thanks for your comments. Yeah, it was just a simple song. This guy giving me his guitar part was perfect timing:)

Hold on to the Moments
Reflective and emotionally satisfying, Lisa. Quality vocal work and sympathetic guitar accompaniment. Gentle and honest. Thanks for sharing this. Take care.

Wonderful
I loved the beautiful melody and singing on this on a song about someone who I am sure was a beautiful person.

Hold on to the Moments
Nice heartfelt vocal delivery. I like the way you take the melody up and down is places where some singers would have just held the note. The lyrics are touching and honest, I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.

Wish your vocals were
more up front in the mix! I think you have a lot of emotion in your voice. I could see a tiny bit of reverb and bring them to the front. Move the guitar back a tiny bit and man this would bring a tear to the other eye too! Nicely done!
