Description
I put this somewhat "Fire Sign Theater" offering up in 2012. The song page says the song is "temporarily off line." Wonder how long that'll be? This snippet of Art Rock was originally part of a much longer submission by Alimar on Ikhabod Pain. So I'm re-submitting it for Halloween and Jack's (davisamerica) Halloween thread.

Ikhabod Pain was the pseudonym for Robert Andrews, an MJ member, who started a rather successful "Song Critique" forum thread way back when. Robert is a very! talented singer-songwriter who left years ago in the midst of some controversy over his concerns regarding the direction of MacJams.

I had the pleasure of doing one collab with him, a different kind of take on Silent Night.

Also see the Ikhabod Pain Song Review forum thread recently posted.

The door is open and ...
I never submitted anything to his song critique forum, but I remember it as being popular and controversial .. and adding a unique aspect to MacJams that gave it a multi-dimensional feel.

I've got one of those "temporarily off line" songs in my list that neither makes sense nor (apparently) is ever coming back.

This eerie song of yours and Jack's (davisamerica) ends too soon! What happens next???

temporarily off line...
This has got me to thinking I should go through all my songs and see if there are others "temporarily" off line. Sheesh...
Cheers, old-timer!

IK Update
Ikhabod doesn't do anything on Sundays that I am free to discuss. Ik will be back at it on Monday.

He is also responding to literally hundreds of emails for those who didn't want it to be made public his thoughts about their song. It would appear some have some very personal songs that they just don't want to have to read publicly how Ik feels about it.

There are also some who don't want to openly admit they sought his advice. It is these emails that have been holding him up a little bit.

Personal Thought

Ikhabod is not going to be happy with me posting this but I was once at a show where he said, “Our own perspective of a thing does not make it a reality”.

So while some may think he is this that or the other, those people need to maybe embrace what he is trying to do instead of having foolish notions about what or who he is.

The truth is we all need a little bit of Ikhabod in us. That didn't come out right.

Let me put it to you this way, if you can’t be honest with yourself about your shortcomings or faults how are you going to be able to be honest with others and theirs when you are asked about them?

Ik Update

After 1200 plus emails and 500 plus songs Ik is finally hearing some light at the end of the, how did he put that? Oh yea "Reverb tunnel from hell"

We can safely say the filtering system is working.

This means Ik got twice that in hate email Razz What these people don't realize is he feed's off that shit (sucks to be us but...), as it pretty much makes him correct about the nature of people.

How did he say that? Oh yea "Arrogant assholes who could give a shit about anyone but themselves so 'em!"

Just passing along Ik's thoughts as he dives into listening and is given some of the hate mail responses. His favortie is the " off emails. He loves those best because with plenty of bouncing blondes around he does that a lot and we like it!

Also there's soon to be a new thread just a little something he has been working on for two years.

If he can get it locked after he posts it he will do it. Pretty cool what Ik is doing with this thread. Let me restate that. What we are doing, he just gives directions and we swallow I mean follow.

Anyway If the Admin's could kindly reply to Ik about locking the thread down as he really doesn't give a about peoples responses to it, that would be cool. If not whatever.

Sincerely,
Aslave'

First of all I am sure you got my email. Don’t compare Ik to some jackass who probably thinks playing something in the 9th is about baseball.

Secondly, if people want a sunshine pumping thread pump away just be sure to kiss that ass while you’re at it. But just so you are aware there’s so much sunshine being pumped in these parts a thread dedicated to it just seems retarded.

And I am not opposed to reverb I just happen to believe like sunshine it gets over done way too often and by over done Ik means over saturated.

Speaking of reverb and pianos there are other alternatives to creating such a thing. Maybe I should type this slow for you? Repeat after old Ikhabod now… s u s t a i n p e d a l

Or Native Instruments® Akoustik™ Piano: Sample Based Acoustic Piano is a great little way to achieve some authentic piano.

But to be honest nothing beats real ivory and the proper use of the foot pedals.

And because you happened to pick an instrument Ik is very familiar with that being the cello let Ik set you straight like so many have before.

One there aren’t many who can actually replicate digitally what the woodwinds or the string instruments sonically produce. The resonation that comes from drawing the horse-hairs across the strings is pretty impossible to produce without actually doing just that. This is not to say that people cannot do it but there’s a really good chance if you have a set of eardrums that actually work you will be able to tell the digitally produced said instruments are just that.

What bothers Ik is people who post this shit without trying 200% to make it sound as good as possible. And then start stroking each other about how great it is. All the while hiding behind more bad digitally produced shit.

It’s like the sub woofer issue. See Ik got a modified one with his home system. Why? Because on the home system while enjoying porn movies Ik also likes to chill out to music and the manufacturers who are driving the sub woofer market are the ones making these home theater systems. What they are missing out on is the fact that for music these home theater systems do not give ample clarity or depth to the bass’ ranges.

This is due in part to tiny boxes and small drivers. It is also why most come with a 1000-watt system to mainly push these drivers that just can’t reach the 20 HZ level. Typically shitting the bed at 30 HZ or higher and by the way “sub woofers” that crap out at 30 HZ are not truly sub woofers. There are also three distinctive types of sub woofers but Ik didn’t come here to educate you on sonic wave form, audio recording or to pump sunshine up your ass.

Ik came here so you understand that Ik isn’t a punk tampon sniffing maggot like your idol is and in 2004 Ik had been around for many many years, Pretty sure your tampon sniffing sissy maggot boy wasn’t even born by the time Ik was popping the coochie.

So go Hump a Pumpkin™,
Ikhabod Pain

I bet you change the rules while your walking young boys to the closet too. Did you actually put any thought into this thread? Judging by your bullshit textbook fuck-nut jizzbag-shit comments I am sure you didn't Twisted Evil

Ikhabod Review Thread...
I think this is all that is left of the original song thread by RCA. When he left he apparently removed everything related to his MJ presence.
