Description
In Memory of LEONARD COHEN

I recorded this on an album "LORD OF THE DANCE" 1976 ( and Yes! Phil18 was there)
in the light of Leonard's death, I thought it worth airing one more time.
AS its not my song to give away I regret there can be no down load on this one.

I do have a very limited number of the original on vinyl

Cohen had a gift for the perfect melody, didn't he? Thanks for sharing this lovely reminder.

Yes, beautiful
Arranged and sung with your usual warmth and delicacy. My only nit might be the strength of the beats in the last half, although they don't sound so overpowering in my headphones as they do on the big speakers.
Thanks for the tribute: Leonard was a biggie, esp. here in Canada, from his early novels and poetry through the songs of Suzanne's period, to the profound songs of his mature years. Cheers.

It was one of those..
1/4" eight track mixes and it was the 70's hence.... the beat
I vaguely remember trying to do something different with the song rather than a cover. I suspect that is still the path I wander.

Cohen Reboot
This one and "Berlin" demo the essential Cohen vibe.
The piano tinkles and backing vocal lifted the arrangement, I kept listening for more on the verses... too much is never enough ;)

Fine recording of a classic song of the times. You did a great job capturing the essence of the song, Franc. Nice acoustic work, too. Thanks.
